Today was a rather exceptional day.
It’s always a blessing to be able to be present in environments that introduces Bella Skye to impactful experiences and extraordinary trailblazing leaders.
What would it look like for me to go and see Ava and not take Bella. Now granted she was the only kid in the room, but that’s how we role. Remember she was also the only toddler in my college classrooms at the tender age of 2.
The opportunity to meet Ava DuVernay was a game changer.
While watching Ava’s work of brillance, the movie Origin, I cried through at least half of the movie because it was just that good. The other half of the time, I was taking notes because there were so many amazing nuggets and lessons that were so graciously woven throughout the movie.
After watching the movie, my heart was sincerely overjoyed, my soul was full, and my creativity sparked at an all-time high!
